Store it in an airtight container, in a cool location.
If it begins for feel drier, a drop of water worked into it will refresh it.
If you leave it out and it gets “crusty”, cut off the “crusty” part, throw it away and work a drop of water into the remaining dough.
You can probably expect about an average 5-6 month life for your dough (depending on several factors). After about 6 months the texture of the dough will begin to change.

Any dough is a choking hazard for little ones under 3. They just don’t know not to put it in their mouth (since it smells so good) and if they take a large bite, it can become lodged in their throat. DoughForIt dough has a high concentration of salt and would taste very bad!
The dough itself is not toxic, but is not intended for consumption and should not be eaten. Not all essential oils are safe for babies or toddlers. It is best to just keep DoughForIt dough out of reach of little ones.
The dough contains wheat flour. No, it is not gluten free.
No. The dough is imprinted with a word to make it special for the first time it’s opened. After you squish the dough, the word will be gone and won’t come back automatically.
I recommend using the dough within 8-10 weeks at the longest. I don’t recommend long term storage before use.
